The CTA206 range of miniature biaxial accelerometers are designed
for true inertial measurements on vehicles, though they have many other applications where it is required to measure low frequency vibrations in noisy environment.
The use of low bandwidth sensing elements ensures
that high frequency vibration does not effect the
measurements.
The sensing elements are high-stability, MEMS micro-machined silicon capacitive strain gauges, potted in a rugged, compact aluminium alloy case designed for ease of mounting.
Applications include condition monitoring, sports dynamics, aerospace, defence, marine, offshore, troubleshooting, rail vehicles, road vehicles, factory and site machinery, and many more.

The CTA206 Series is complementary to the CTA103 Uniaxial Accelerometers, to the CTA303 and CTA304 Triaxial Accelerometers and to the CTA106 and CTA306 Uni- and Triaxial low bandwidth accelerometers. The different models are compared here.
